http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2011/08/justin-beiber-crashes-black-ferrari-no-one-hurt.html Ouch.
there was a collision, but no damage to either vehicle... thats an oxybeiber... er.. i mean oxymoron. GT
He looks like he's eleven and sings like a girl. Is anyone surprised that he can't drive? Who's the genius who said he could have a car, much less a Ferrari? He's still a minor, isn't he? Rich and famous or not, let him drive what I did at his age - a 4-cylinder Nissan Sentra that topped out at 50, but only downhill with the wind at its back.
"...there was no damage to either vehicle" and "The extent of the damage to either car was not known." That is some damn fine reporting right there. Move over Edward R. Murrows! L.A. Times Blogs must be a subsidiary of Gawker Media!
at least it wasn't "they're was no damage to either vehicle", which I've seen in online editions of papers before
Who, in their right mind, (parent, manager, friends, record co., who or whatever) lets this adolescent near a Ferrari? I saw so many friends in high school crash cars (usually muscle variety) which had to much power driven by adolescents running on hormones and extreme inexperience. Honest to god I sometimes wonder if stupidity is the defining feature of our species. I am all for Justin enjoying the fruits of his success but i cant help but feel that this boy (and he is a boy) will be lucky to survive Ferrari ownership. Does anyone remember James Dean?
My thoughts exactly. I always thought this was Sean Kingston's Ferrari. He even says so in this video: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXzRJ9Q7YRQ[/ame] -G.B.
He's worked hard and succeeded financially. He seems to be a generally responsible and good kid. Sure, I hate his music... doesn't mean he's a crappy driver just because his music is. Let him enjoy it.
+1 I love all the haters on this site whenever someone other than an old white guy buys a Ferrari btw was Justin's car previously owned by a skateboarder? seem to recall it from Rob Dyrdek's show.
Yeah, it's kind of ridiculous. Especially when people who don't even own Ferraris attack them! It's not like Bieber is buying a Ferrari to show off... all he has to do is be in public and everyone looks at him. Maybe he grew up dreaming of Ferraris just like the rest of us and has genuine passion for them. Not our place to judge his intentions.
When is a "non-event" an "event"? When it's a PR stunt. I don't care if he owns one. Fine with me. It just that this smacks of the "rapper who bought the leer jet" story all over again.
