348 5 speeds or 6 speed?

    when did they change from 5 speeds to 6 speeds?

    As far as I know all 348's are 5 speeds........never made a 6 speed 348.

    348 are all 5 speed. The 6speed tranny came with the introduction of the 355. The 355 was built at the same time as the 348 for a few months yet the 348 was never "upgraded" to 6 speed.

    All 348s came from the factory with a 5 speed gearbox.
