    Chris correct, but you need to replace the cam shaft gaskets.

    Parts alone for the job are around £150, add labour, then VAT.

    Sorry John, forgot about the price of Ferrari gaskets - you are right, it soon adds up!!

    Any explanation on why the leak re-occurred??

    we have a brand new one we will sell for 600bucks. never used and for a 348 from ferrari. It is over 1200 from the dealers and this is incase you opt not to rebuild yours eamil [email protected]

    Sorry to hi-jack the thread a-bit, but John, Genova is OK, getting expensive...especially if you have to pay the Ferrari service center 2,100 euro's for an alternator (as you have heard) and repace a clutch release bearing/seals and flange that STILL doesn't stop the hydralic fluid leak!
    Coincidence that you had your cam seals done at the last engine out service...I did too (10 months ago) and mine are leaking now also...What in the hell are we paying for here, if it wasn't for the guys on this site re-installing my faith I'd be back driving a 911 by now!! (oh,and some thing to do with the fact they can't give you the Ferrari smile)...
