Hello, did the 348 and 355 share the same gearbox driveshaft. I mean the part wich is pushed into the crankshaft. Is that the same spline? That i can use the 355 Gearbox on a 348 without a change on the crankshaft? And is the spline on the flywheel also the same that the 348 and 355 Flywheel both fits on the 348 and 355 gearbox? I mean only the spline of the shafts not the rest. I only need to now if this spline in the 348 and 355 crank/flywheel is the same. Because noone knows wich standard this spline is and can remanufacture these so i need to get an used crankshaft to cut it in two parts .. and if the 355 has also the same i can search for more cars then only the 348. Maybe 328,308 or something else also has the same spline in the crank? _______________________ Samy
There is a member here with a 6spd from a 355 in his 348. IF i recall correctly, he had to: 1. Custom exhaust, stock in the way of the new trany 2. Custom linkage (I think?) Try a search, you might be able to find out who it was and ask him directly.
Ok so the input shaft of the 348 and 355 gearbox is the same ... and the tooth spline in the 348 and 355 crankshaft because of this also. Then i can also search for an damaged 355 crankshaft instead only searching for an 348 If anyone has an damaged 348 or 355 crankshaft or a cheap used one contact me. On the pic attached is the part in red wich i need so it doesn't matter if the rest in green is damaged or broken appart. ______________ Samy Image Unavailable, Please Login
Andy hls, is who you want to talk to, he's in the UK section. He would know best because he is the guy with the 355 gearbox in his 348.
