Were the elitism? Were? The only ones to mention that due to insecuritys were certain 348 owners. Or are you refering to the elitism of the 348 only "brotherhood"? See, we all can read into things that may not be there

oh i see, thats how it works is it Thats a very shallow way of thinking but i will roll with it. When i voted to have a seperate section elitism never even crossed my mind. So ok if thats how its viewed then its fair to say that due to insecuritys, the 348s cant stand alone So the word insecurity balances out elitisim, thats fair If i recall correctly, years ago there was no 348/355 section. There was a modern and a classic section, or even a 70s, 80s and 90s section. So when there was a thread about making the various model sections. Were the people with cars in the classic section, shouting elitism towards the modern section ? Or was every one shouting "elitism" to evey one in any other section to there own? Anyone remember?
Oh look at the hornet's nest. ;-) What I was going for was my impression that there are a small amount of owners/responders in this thread who have appeared to display a "my crap don't stink" type of mentality. I didn't intend to rile up the populace, merely to contribute my thoughts.
There realy is no animosity in what i have said at all, sorry i came across like that to you. But i am not suprised that you read it the way you do. Maybe you should have saved that responce to a much more worthy cause, like the above. But of couse you wont, i am a newbe FC 355 owner/poster. And most of you old school posters dont like newbes having opinions.
Scott, we are beating a dead horse...this is the third time this topic has come up in about a year, and the first two times it was voted to remain the same forum....I am not sure who would think that would change in such a short time, but the poll results speak for themselves which means now is still the time to keep them the same forum. I have an idea - the individuals that want these forums separated, why not stop visiting the 348/355 section until they are separated?
Speaking of "shallow way of thinking" - you "read" that 348 owners are insecure, and you decide to cling to that belief, yet you owned one for six years...I see the irony/hypocrisy - not once but twice - in your posts here in this thread....and that has nothing to do with you being a newbie.
Oh i see you changed your post. And dont take what i said out of context. The word elitist was used to describe any 355 owner who wanted seperate forums. So i used the insecure word. And about me owning a 348, while i owned it i loved it. The insecuritys i was refering to was in regards to what i see some 348 owners posting on this forum, and only this forum.

Yes, you can this and whatever you want ...it's your Ferrari, it's your money that bought it, it's your prerogative...if you feel your Ferrari is better than the 348 then that's the only opinion that matters....personally, I will admit that the 355 likely is the better car but I am VERY happy with my 348 and do not regret the decision of acquiring one...and my opinion of my 348 is the only one that matters too
And with all that has been said, IMVHO I would like to call on a Moderator to give this thread 24 more hours to allow any more last minute votes and then let's get this bad boy on lock-down....until the topic comes up in six more months of course So, is anybody with me in calling out to a Mod to shut this thing down?
I did not think i had to say that i was refering to this forum, because i thought it obvious. But i was. Some of us have lurked on FC for a long time reading sections. During this time we quickly pick up the general vibe. Then one day we post and then we read about people not liking newbies having an opinion.
How about that, i have just been promoted to karting I wonder if that gives more gravity to my voting opinion
Let's close this and move on already. I'm going to make my own request to Rob and that is to enable 'flood control.' It will prevent people from posting 5 or 6 times in a row without any posts from other members in between. Is that not annoying to anyone else? It's not hard to respond to multiple members in a single post, this must be why I see 30,000+ post counts..... Ridiculous. End of rant.
