Hi does anyone know where I can get a drink holder as a straight replacement for the ashtray in my 1991 348. see attached pics.
My ashtray is broken, I had my seats and consul recovered and had the ashtray lid done in leather also but the side bit is broken off so maybe a replacement is good option. A drink holder would be so much better. I will repair the ashtray and keep for next owner in 10 years or so.

Yes that is a drive by wire cruise controller on the coin holder, I drive 300kms on a freeway which is 110kmhr for nearly 3 hrs and there are lots of Police radar cameras, so set the cruise control and just listen to engine and usually some CCR and ELO a bit of Linda Ronstadt and maybe some Deep Purple or Cream lol.

Sorry Larry, I think you are correct on the cup holder. I can not locate one for the 348. I will keep looking.

    FChat sponsor Carbonio:

They list that cupholder as for the 355, 360, 430, 456, and 550, so if you like the carbon fibre look them perhaps you could ask them if it fits the 348 as well or if they could make something for you.

I agree the ashtray isn't a helpful feature.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Lol on a serious note though I'm sure I've seen someone on here make a Perspex drinks holder to go in the storage area. I'd get one of those and fix the ashtray as I've done

348Jeff I like the Maccas option BUT did it come with fries. I will pursue the ashtray repair and put some wire in each section and glue back together. I was even more surprised to see someone actually use the coin holder (now that was impressive).
The upholsterer did suggest he could make a piece to fit where the ashtray is and cover it in the same leather I had left over from getting interior redone.I will post some future pics if go down this track.

Now that cup holder would look good in any Ferrari and especially one of mine. Probably the way the Italian designers intended it to be. No need for a plastic tray when you have that next to you.

.........and you can keep both hands on the wheel (good idea) and just drink from the holder. :)
