I can't find a supplier anywhere. The tint shop who broke it won't pay to get it shipped from Mike in Kuwait and I don't know if the dealer can even get it. Ugh.

I'd have thought that if the tint shop have accepted responsibility for breaking the glass then it's for them to get it repaired?

If that is so then it should be pointed out to them that their options are to pay for the import of Mikes from Kuwait (and for the fitting of it), to pay the complete cost of buying a 2nd hand window from elsewhere, including any postage required (plus fitting), or for a brand new window to be fitted by Ferrari (If available!).

Eurospares in the UK show them as being: "New to order - subject to availability": http://www.eurospares.co.uk/searchResult_one.asp?S=62080000&TM=1&TMo=434&TA=2&TB=23712

(I'd also add that Eurospares seem to break quite a few 348/355's up for spares so the chances are they'll have a decent 2nd hand rear window available).

And Maranello Classic Parts have them listed: https://www.ferrariparts.co.uk/62080000-Rear_Window_Glass_348/355_seo.aspx

At the end of the day, if the tint shop broke the window then it's for them to pay for the car to be repaired and it's tough s:censored:t if it costs them a lot of money to get it sorted! - They shouldn't have been negligent in the first place!

(And surely their business insurance should cover it anyway?)

Well, given the cost of glass for these cars, I simply paid an extra $20 on my annual insurance policy to include all glass replacement with no excess, so if it ever happens to me, then it will be simply where to get it from. I know its too late in this instance, and I know its not your fault, but the tinting guys seem to have successfully made it your problem. I learned the hard way many years ago that sometimes it pays to plan ahead for ANY eventuality

348/355 guys should most definitely hook-up on the rear window and some others on here need the windshield, which not only fits both the 348 and 355 but at this price is an excellent deal.......lots of weight savings when you do both front and rear,

I do have the glass coverage on my insurance if he doesn't stand behind what they did. Thanks for the links! I sent them his way and will give him a chance to redeem himself for a couple days :)

As I've previously posted, surely he must have some sort of business insurance to cover this very sort of incident?

Hope you get it sorted out soon without too much (additional) fuss!

Ok new glass has been installed by Scottsdale Ferrari! Glass with rear defrost and nano tinted before install.

I kept my old factory glass that is tinted with a small crack on passenger side triangle area.

What do you guys think it's worth since the new one was $2850?

So who ended up footing the bill? - The tint guy?, his business insurance? or your insurance?

Was that $2850 for new/original equipment glass, with the embedded rear defrost grid?

It doesn't seem quite right to Me that someone breaks something on your car and then doesn't sort out getting it fixed at their/their insurance's expense, but the main thing is that your car is back to being as it should be and you've not had to pay for the glass yourself!

Glad it's sorted for you! :)
