Hi. Over the last 16 years my bonnet grill have become a bit worn/faded and "poping" up a bit too between the screws. The early 348 have only 3 screws in the grill (94 and Spider have 5) I've seen new bonnet grills on the bay (new) for a cheap buck, so I was thinking of replaceing it. BUT..... If you look at the pic, screw A and B are no problem to unscrew - but how in G**'s name do you reach screw C???????????????? Under the bonnet theres a panel which are popped on to the bonnet, so I cant get access to screw C from there... Any ideas??? if anybody else have done this.... Thanx... PS: This pic are from last winter, we've got summer here now but I couldnt botherd to go out in the garage, remove the car cover to take the pics. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Drill out the pop rivets (they are black). The shield under it can than be removed. Reinstall pop rivets & paint the heads black. The part you need is cheap - under $50 US if I remember right. Just did mine Good Luck, its not a big deal to drill them out. Chris
As I thought... Thanx alot for the tip dude, think I'll need to find and buy the grill before I drill out the pop rivets...just in case Thanx again man!
