Hey guys...I just got my car back from its 30K service. But yesterday, it started leaking brake fluid - at least that's what I think it is - it's coming from the front - directly between the two front wheels. I check the reservoir and it still seems full, though it might be down a bit. Is there anything else this could be that could cause big trouble? Loose hose/clamp perhaps?

Could be a loose brake pipe fitting. He did bleed the system. Take it back to Robert. Im sure he will have no problem fixing it for you asap. He seems like the guy that would pounce straight on it, as it's his reputation at stake. :)

Are you sure that it's brake fluid? If it's a large amount of fluid and you don't notice your clutch going out or your brake reservoir going down, turn off your air conditioner to see if you are just draining condensation there.

Let it go for a few days. After a new service sometimes when you top off the reservoir a bit much. I do this all the time. This makes sure you have max fluid and allows for wear in the pads and the fluid to go down. There is a hose that bleeds the overflow right betwen the front wheels and there is where you get the puddle. Typically it will be about the size of two dollarbills. So after a few spirited drives and you get the car nice and hot after na couple cycles of this and the puddle will disappear. You can lift up the carpet and follow the overflow tube of the reservoir cap and see fluid still in there leaking out and I'll bet you dinner I am right. This is much better than your mechanic trying to be cheap and shortcahnging you 2 oz of fluid to use in the next guys car.

Funny you mention this. I called Robert (my mechanic) and he said basically the same thing. So no worries for now.
