    Dear all;

    I saw on the 348 section a tutorial regarding the Cam phase sensor replacement.
    I want to follow one guy here (I don't remeber his name) who decided to replace all sensors and relay.
    I think it is a very good idea and it will make the car more reliable.
    If I understand well, it is an Hall effect sensor, so it will work 100% perfectely until the end of its life, is it correct?
    Or its efficacity will become less year after year?

    thanks guys

    Hi Marc. You are probably referring to my post. Like most electrical components the sensor itself could fail without warning. Who knows how long it should last ? ... I don't think the 348 item is particularly unreliable from what I have seen but the wiring connector can suffer heat degradation over time and that maybe more of a worry. For the fairly low cost and piece of mind I would just replace it if it bothers you.

    Just replaced my cam phase sensor, part thru AW Italian. There was error at first...they sent me a cam phase sensor for a Porsche 944....but corrected the mistake and sent me the proper part. It was one of the reasons my CEL was on. Car is running smooth. I also highly recommend you replace associated gaskets/seals which were about 20$. They will likely be worn.
