I had an emmissions test done yesterday. It passed, but the tester said the car was "running a little rich and it just scaped through the emmissions test". I'm not techinaclly minded, but what does that mean and how can I fix it?
If it passed, why worry about it? I don't know if your tests are similar to ours, but when I took my 348 in for its emission test, it failed the first time because I simply hadn't warmed it up thoroughly enough (maybe 15-20 minutes). I drove it hard for about an hour, then went back to the station and had it retested (the same day, by the same person, on the same machine). It passed easily the second time. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it unless your spark plug electrodes look "sooty". It might be worth pulling out one plug from each bank, but I wouldn't expect to see anything unusual.
Well...I'm about to get some Hyper-flows from Daniel and was just testing the car to see the condition. But you may be right. The Tester did say it may be because I had'nt given it a good run. Guess it's just a case of Ferrari Owners Paranoia Syndrome.
