Picked up some carbon fiber panels on eBay and cut a couple of them down to size. They seem difficult to photograph at night, sorry.

But here they are on the triangle corner window piece on my 348 Spider.

If nothing else perhaps they'll lead to some brainstorms for future carbon fiber projects on the 348.

Is that the piece where the window rolls into? On the trailing edge of the door?

Right, it's the triangle piece on the outside of the glass, just above the door-open push-button.

I'm really thinking about the carbon fiber dash and console panels. eBay had someone's set for US $900.00. Has any one used this set on their 348? Is there another option besides the OEM panels that morph into some glue type surface over time?

My Norwood twin turbo 348ts has the full carbon fiber refit by KAZ Automotive out of Canada. Nice stuff.
I don't even know if he ever pursued the project, as my interior was used as the prototype. It is simply wonderful stuff.
The interior upgrade was done to be a total carbon fiber surround cockpit. It includes door sills, mirror backing triangles, door armrests, 3 ac vent surrounds, glove box door, gauge cluster mount, beautiful environmental control center piece, small center "change storeage", shifter surround, ash tray, and custom surround plate for the boost control knob. He did a great job. I looked around me hard drive, but I see if I never took any decent pics.
This stuff makes the interior as special to this car as the Norwood pakage does the drive train. You gotta love it!

So, this is a common fault then, not just my car?

These panels have gone 'soft' in my car, resulting in a surface that is very easily scratched, leading to the interior looking scruffy.

Can someone recommend a source for replacement parts? Car is LHD

    thanks

That's where mine came from too (about 2 years ago). Andre was a pleasure to work with.

For some reason I remember looking at the ebay ones and thinking they were an overlay and not a true CF piece

Anyone know where you can get inside door panels, like the Competizione GT or LM?

    Joe -

Was at the track all day....Oh boy.... I've got an interesting story to post. The 348 brotherhood was strong (3 of us!)

But I need some family time with Luca and Mrs. JRR for the moment.

YES. I have a whole slew of the carbon items. Shoot me an email with what you're looking for.

Tell me, tell me... I can't wait to hear... Where were you running? Did you go off and mow the lawn? :) Maybe added some gravel ballast? :)

    Hi Guys,

We have a lot of carbon parts for the 348 avialable. From the usual stuff such as the door sills to "crazy" things like the door panels. This thread mentions Andre of KAZ. I wanted to let you know he is a partner in MAcarbon. Andre does amazing work and is a major contributer to our success. In addition, the thread mentions the Garapan 348 panels found on eBay. We distribute many of the Garapan products here in the US. Their 348 kit is an overlay. Since we already have a solution for the center console we do not currently sell it. But all of our customers have been pretty happy with the 355 overlay kit so it may be an option you want to pursue. Both the full carbon replacment and the overlay take about an hour to install.

No Doubt, Can you get a better shot of the work you did. After reading your post and started to notice that my triangles need some attention too... :)

I'll try again during the day. I'm less than an "amateur" at photography; to me, carbon fiber is difficult to properly image.

But I've now done some interior window triangles so I'll try to get some good pics of the inside and outside during the day.

I forget about this one, sorry!
It was almost a year since I got them. They are really great, personally I recommend all the 348 brothers should get one of these.

Thanks for the kinfd words about Andre. You speak the truth.
I couldn't believe it when I saw the carbon kit on Chenshan's car! Beautiful! Mine has all those peices as well, but also a set of door panels, (armrests), and full dash wrap arounds. All done by Andre. Irreplaceable. It's a huge upgrade for the 348.
BTW- Chenhsan, I love the steering wheel; where's you get it?

Chenshan, those pieces look great. Is that consol the replacement or the overlay?? (I suspect it's the replacement, but just wanted to be sure)
