    Does a cat come supplied on pre-94 models and are they required to be present for the MOT?

    Were any of the 348s supplied without a cat?

    I believe all PRE '92 cars were WITHOUT cats.

    August 92 on must be cat tested,if the cats are removed and its after 92 you will need to phone a friend,

    I'm keen on a 1993 TB model as that's pretty recent and I believe has the 20HP upgrade.

    I'd rather not go for an older car which still contains bugs and quirks.

    However, for performance, I suppose it will be a case of putting the cat back on at MOT time or failing that calling in a favour.
