Just had my annual roadworthy and all went well. Only problem is the exhaust emissions.. Under 'stern' advice from the manager, I had best repair my cat converters to be able to legally drive.
Choices I have: i) new ones from F-dealer (all know $$$$)
ii) take out the old ones, cut open, replace the ceramics,
    weld close & refit.
I am more tempted to go with option ii), if were up to me I would totally bypass the cats, but the laws wont allow and its cheaper. Any advice and also likely problems I will encounter, if any. (O2 sensors, ECU sensors, Slow Down lights etc)

    Cheers
    Marc

You can purchase a rebuilt unit for $350 ea (exchange). They will send you a rebuilt cat & you ship back your old core.

PM me for the vendor info.

    Good luck.

Replace with bypass tubes. My 348 passes emissions without cats, no check engine lights or other trouble. I saw someone on this board looking to sell his a couple days ago. Do a search and they'll pop up.
