Be careful plating structural nuts and bolts because the process changes the properties of the hardware. Show OK. Go NO.
Please do some research on "high strength fasteners electroplating and hydrogen embrittlement." You cannot "see" a suspect fastener. Any structural hardware will be 10.9 or 12.9 class typically used in suspensions. If you plate them you will cause hydrogen embrittlement and the hardware can fail especially on track. I hate to see people get hurt. We need to look out for each other out there. If you don't care about yourself please care about the people you share the track with. If your suspension fails you can cause an accident for someone else. I don't mean to sound like an a$$ but these kinds of part failures can cause big problems.
