Is there a difference? I know they are the same size. They are both made by speedline. Both made of a magnesium alloy. Look the same (I think). What's the difference?

+1 ..... 348s did not have enough HP to necessitate 'challenge' wheels .....

The difference is so obvious! 355CH wheels came in a variety of pastel colors -- to suit the drivers fanciful taste. 348CH wheels came in black only.

+1 what he said, and I believe the most popular of the pastel colors was a lovely shade of pink.

From what I know these "challenge" wheels were originally available for 348 Competizione cars. I have a Ferrari GTC homogolation manual here showing them. I gather they just started using these for the 355 Challenge cars as they can't have sold/made many of them for the 348. These are different of course to the LM centrelocks.

My car ran with white ones. My understanding is that the first two years of the Challenge, they ran the stock wheels. In 1996, then they ran 355s and 348s together, you could run the Challenge wheels. I still have one of the 3 sets that they would have run and it is white and marked inside with the cars race number.

Thanks for the education. So one would see alot of 348 Challenge wheels at the track and alot of 355 Challenge wheels parked outside the hair salon!

I thought it would be with the Speciale front lip spoiler. Are you driving it? Do you still have the car? THAT IS A GREAT PHOTO AND CAPTURES ALL THE EXCITMENT AND FUN INVOLVED!

You must be taking that corner pretty fast with the front left about 1 inch off the deck and the front right about 4 inches off the deck.

No that is not me driving. I purchased the car about a year ago. I have the full race history with the car including time sheets and about 50 pictures like this from when it raced but I unfortunately was not the race car driver. That was a gentleman racer named Neal Heffron.

The car is now in street disguise with street wheels and no decals but I am working with another Fchatter to recreate the decals and give it a challenge feel again. It should be back in race decals in about a month. The decals are complete and I am in the process of having the car detailed and the decals installed.

The importance of the race history is to confirm that it was not in an accident and that it was not abused. The car only raced at 4 events and finished all 1 lap behind. I was also able to find Mr. Heffron and confirm that there were no accidents during its racing days. He was a real gentleman racer out for a good time.

Here is the funniest picture. Because of his limited budget, he would have to bring his spare tires to the pit lane inside the car. This was at Montreal. Look under the hood :)
