They probably don't know any better-----At least half of the dealer ads I see for cars have incorrect info, mispelled words, wrong words, etc...It blows me away how these dealers saty in business. If I was looking at buying a car and the dealer had wrong info--that would be enough for me to move on...

94 Challenge with 19Kmiles, red/tan, $45K. Heck, I would have been all over that car a year ago. Somebody get a PPI and buy this. The doors look different. Is that a Challenge only door, or did the spyders get that too?

I guess they are hoping for idiots---doesn't work on me.... I have even seen an ad from a dealer on Ebay for a "Farrari 350"----it was a nice car and was a 355... I sent the dealer a message and asked if my 8 yr.old son could come work for them and do all their ads so the words were spelled correctly...They never responded and removed the ad the next day..

They ruined the dash with that nav system the cover is gone, looks bad.
Answer to Bee Jay's question: Those panels are for a Spider not a "B". Maybe they ran out of the correct panel since that is a late serial number for a "B"

I was thinking the same thing. Why did the previous owner have them install a double-DIN deck, rather than a single-DIN deck with a motorized flip-out screen? Oh well, it was his car. Also, where are the engine photos? Don't these guys realize that to Ferrari lovers and potential buyers, that's the "heart-and-soul" of the car?

I don't know much about 348s, and I've never seen a 348 Challenge (in real life), but there doesn't seem to be much cosmetic difference in the Challenge cars vs. the "normal" 348tb. I know there were modifications to the engine, suspension, and a deeper front spoiler, but the interior looks identical. Interesting, I would have expected more difference.

From what I've seen, the differences between a "factory" Challenge and a normal TB are less than they are for a SS. As far as cosmetic differences, my Challenge has none compared to a TB - the interior is identical and there is no deeper front spoiler. I know that some of the cars came with identification plates, similar to those for the SS cars, though mine doesn't have one. For example, my car has the 348 Challenge suede steering wheel, mounting points for a rollcage hidden by leather covered caps, "348 Challenge" script on the rear deck, drilled aluminum clutch and brake pedals, and the rear bumper is pre-drilled and rubber grommeted for a tow hook. I also believe that it has slightly different timing on the exhaust cams and lighter bumpers. Otherwise, my car is pretty much a standard '94 TB.

I suspect that the options differed from car to car. Some of the factory Challenge cars came with the carbon fiber seats and the 18" Speedlines - 2 options that I've love to have. Seems to have depended on whatever the original owner ordered with the car.

Thanks Mark! Nice overview for us non-348-owners!

Sure are a lot of skeptics! The picture of the drivers seat with the rollcage cutout tells me its probably a real CH car,

I didn't mean for anyone to infer that I was doubting this was a "real" 348 Challenge. Of all the modern Ferraris, I know the least about the 348. I was just really surprised with the lack of obvious exterior/interior differences between the CH and tb. ....just trying the learn
