Hello I have a 1990 348 TS with test pipes and a tubi, the check engine light keeps coming on and the errors are for the thermocouplers in both banks. I see several of you out there running a similar set up, are you having the same issues?

The thermocouplers are there to measure the cats temp. Without the cats, temp should not be an issue. I suspect a bad cat ecu.

Thanks for the reply, I got this car with all of the exhaust already installed. I noticed the thermocouplers are not even attatched to any of the piping and the ECU is disconnected. I haven't had the time to look to see if there is a provision to install the probe into the system that is currently installed. Is this how all the aftermarket stuff work?

Just a technical note: The correct term is thermocouples, not thermocouplers. ;) I've seen the incorrect term used by enough posters that I thought it was worth noting the correct terminology. Hope this isn't too AR for some :)
