I suspect these are related. My 1993 348TS clock only works with the ignition turned on. The dome lights do not work at all. Suspect there is a hot battery connection for both....the location of which is a mystery.
    Any pointers appreciated.

I assume he is referring to a circuit that has constant power that is not controlled via the ignition switch.

    Again, welcome to Ferrari Chat!

On your clock, are you saying that it only lights up when the ignition is turned on, or are you saying that it resets itself each time the ignition is turned on? The former is the way it's supposed to work. If it's the later, then you're probably not setting the time correctly. See page H7 in the handbook. The power supply for the clock is through the "hidden fuse' in the front luggage compartment, under the left rear corner of the trunk lining. The same fuse provides power to the climate control system.

On your dome light, the power supply is through fuse #3 in the right front footwell fuse panel. There are two positions on the switch on the dome light. The first position should turn the light on all the time, and the second position should turn on the light whenever either of the doors are opened. The light won't work unless the housing is grounded properly on the frame of the targa hoop, and of course it won't work if the bulb is loose or burned out.

Sorry, a "day job" aircraft systems term: a connection that is always live to the battery.

Mistake in my earlier post, the "hidden fuse" is in the Right rear corner of the luggage compartment, not the left rear corner. Is your car left-hand drive? Please fill in your profile for us so we know these things (optional, but helpful).

I wonder if the 355 clock fuse is in the same location as the 348?
My clock, and the light for it, are inop and all the fuses in the passenger footwell are ok...

Thanks guys...decided to drop the car into the shop tomorrow. All fuses good..they suspect it is a broken wire in the driver's door loom.

A broken wire in the drivers door loom would not affect either the clock or the dome light. Yes, it's quite common to find broken wires under the boot on either door, but that causes problems with the power windows or power locks.

I hope the shop can fix your problems. If your only complaints are the clock and dome light, you've got yourself a pretty nice 348.
