so we pumped and pumped the clutch pedal, then holding it and releasing the bleed screw for 20 minutes. NO pressure will build. Any tips?

You don't really need to pump the clutch pedal. Just press fully and hold, open nipple and close, release pedal, press again, open-close atc. The pipe to the clutch slave is very long so it can take quite many cycles to push the air out. Pressure bleeder works much better. I recently used a pressure bleeder that just applies air pressure to the reservoir and bled the system in a few minutes (a lot of air came out).

Here's a pic of when I did mine.

Just a point to note - the clutch and brake fluid are shared so when i did mine I bled the brakes first and then the clutch (did a full fluid change) . When you do this you have to have the ignition on so you can here the abs pump buzzing which will also make the fluid level drop in the master cylinder.

i used one of those silicone pipes with a slit in which is perfect. I pressed it down then pulled up the pedal by hand (as instructed in the manual)
