Hi guys, my 90 348 clutch has got wet slipping due to oil leaking through the seals. I've been offered kevlar replacement & someone mentioned that double clutch is better? Mine is single plate. What's the difference & do you think I should remove my clutch to find out if my flywheel etc is damaged before orderng parts? Meanwhile, can I still drive the car? Should I bite the bullet & upgrade to a 355 clutch?

I'm about to install fuel pressure gauges, may I know what PSI should I get 15/30/100? I saw them on www.summitracing.com

Where shall I fit it & do I need two since there are two fuel lines? Thanks!

I recently changed the clutch in my 348 turbo. A nice way to go is to just pull the entire "pumpkin" off and send it to Norwood's. James rebuilt the entire assembly with a new kevlar clutch and improved clamping power for the springs. Now, (it is broken in), it engages smoothly and nothing spins when I jump on the throttle but the wheels. Easy job too.

Stick with what you got. It really makes no diff on a streetcar. Jeff is an exception since he can spin tires in 3 or 4 gears! As to guages run new braided line from the fuel filters to the inlet side of the fuel rails. You will need metric hose ends. Earls can get the metric ends but most are AN. end the guages at about the top of the cam covers. running fuel pressure is 3.2 bar roughly 45-50psi so get 100psi guages so your neddles are in the middle. Mkae sure all hose ends are terminated in a fitting and that the guages go into an aluminium T shaped block with holes for the guage and the hose end males to screw into. You do not what a fire due to shabby construction

At some point during the production run of 348s, the twin-plate clutch was changed to a single-plate clutch.

This was done for reliability improvement.

Thanks guys! I'll most likely be taking out my "pumpkin" & see what it's got & send it over for a replacement. Hope this is the final end of my problems.

    As a matter of fact--

The twin plate clutch was changed to the single plate clutch during the production month of October, 1991.
