That looks like a twin plate clutch from this angle John. :):)

Also.........you CANNOT tell the condition of the clutch plates, until you remove the clutch plates. :):)

If you remove the 6 bolts (that I have circled red in your pic), you will be able to remove the pressure plate and clutch plates to inspect. :):)

Why did you remove the pumpkin/clutch John? Is there an issue there?? Slipping perhaps? :):)

Here are 2x threads on the 348 clutch that I started a few years ago now. :):)

    I also have a twin plate clutch in my 348. My 348 is a 12/1991. What month/year is your 348 John? :):)

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86136&page=9

    Well........

You are only getting one thread there mate. :):)

The other thread is MISSING!!:eek:

It was pretty good too. Had a lot of debate/conversation regarding the little grub screw on the back of the flywheel nut. :D:D

I have contacted the right people and hopefully they can restore that thread. It would be a shame if it were lost forever. :):)

the reason why i took a pic of my clutch is because i had a new throw out bearing installed with all new seals etc and i just wanted to no if it was still ok the car drives fine no slipping or anything plenty of bite in the clutch the car is a 02.1991 also you may no i was driving home i nthe car it was getting dark so i had to turn my lights on but on the main dash are all the clocks nd dials etc ment illuminate because none was lit up just the light and when ya indicate etc

If thats all mate, then I wouldnt worry about it. Get a hose in there and hose it out to get rid of all the clutch dust and any brake fluid that may be on the plates when the seals were leaking. :):)

Slap it back together then mate. ;);)

    Oh, fantastic! :D:D

Dont worry, I noticed it........I just couldnt understand it! :p:p

Now this is MUCH better! I can read that!! :D:D

Yep, they should light up John! I am assuming that you have a blown fuse there brother for the dash lights. :):)

That or the dash light dimmer is turned right down?? Try turning the knob on the tacho anti-clockwise mate. That should turn the dash lights up and clockwise turns them down John. :):)

Its circled red in my pic. ;);)

    Lol, I know a *little* bit. ;);)

That P is indeed for the parkbrake John. :):)

If yours is not working, it may have something to do with a blown "hazard-parking light' fuse! Looks to be a 15 amp fuse there for it. :D:D

That or it has a blown bulb in the dash or the parkbrake switch is playing up under the parkbrake handle? :D:D

Did you just get the car mate?? Post some pics! :D:D

Awesome car John!! Looks great brother! :D:D

A year! lol!! About time you got around to fixing those pesky little problems up! :p:p

    I see, I see. :):)

I dont know where here in Aus, but there was an Fchatter who actually replaced his recently. I dont remember the exact thread and who it was. But if he see's this thread and your post, I am sure he will help you out. :):)

If the fuse is ok, then I wonder if its getting power? Do you have a test light handy to check for power in and out of the fuse? :D:D

Also, check the other "instruments" and "instrument lights" fuses, just incase John. ;);)

The switch under the parkbrake is easy to get too. It can be accessed by removing 2 screws mate. It may have broken wires or it may have been disconnected?? Could even be a sticking switch. :p:p

Hell, it could even be a blown bulb in the dash! :p:p

    Righto.......

You got me thinking again when you said you couldnt find the other end for the wiring. :D:D

I then remembered the wiring goes directly onto the switch.:eek:

Here are some pics for you mate. It is a REALLY easy job. Took me 5 mins to get it apart and get the wiring on and off for the pics. :):)

    Here are some steps...

Remove both screws holding the parkbrake cover on. One screw at either end.

Remove the screw holding down the engine cover release handle.

Lift the engine cover release handle out and remove the screw under there.

Slide the parkbrake cover forward to access the back of it.

Reach in there and put the wire on the switch.

    Re-assemble. :D:D
