I have my console on my father's 348 all torn apart to try to see why none of his buttons work in the console. I have taken the big box apart and cleaned all of the connections (as I read by doing a search here), I have 12 volts on the plug going to the box and all I get is the lights on the buttons themselves to light up. None of the buttons on the big box will actually do anything. The fuses are all good under the front bonnet and in the footwell. Also, the long narrow box for the hazards, etc. has power to it but none of the buttons do anything at all and the little box w/ the door lock/unlock and gas cap release, only the gas cap release works. It seems awefully strange that all 3 boxes are toast, doesn't it? Or are these THAT prone to failure? Thanks in advance, Jerry.

To get to the hidden fuse, you must remove the entire front trunk felt liner and look for the fuse on the U.S. passenger side (right side) of the 348.

This hidden fuse is near the ABS computer. Early 348's have a single blade fuse there. Later 348's have a long bullet fuse (similar to modern car stereo fuses) there. This hidden fuse is *not* in a fuse box or fuse panel. It is alone.

Are all 3 data cables plugged in to the back of your tower console?

It WAS the "hidden" fuse, thanks for the help!! I had heard talk before of this fuse but thought it was an urban legend, like sasquatch or blinker fluid or something. Anyway, it all works perfectly now.
