    how come when I turn the kill switch off in engine compartment the fan indicator light and ac lights flash?

    If one of the 3 (vertically aligned) buttons on the far left of your A/C console is/are pressed or jammed down when you turn the ignition key, then the A/C computer will flash the A/C lights to signal that you are going into the A/C diagnostic mode.
