Recently my 94 348 spiders instrumentation light fuse blew. If I replace the fuse and turn on the running lights it immediatly blows. To try to locate the source of the problem I disconnected all connectors to the following: Complete dash (all gauges), Complete console (Heat/Air controller, Window switch and Ashtray light).
Is there anything else that is powered by this circut? Has anyone else experienced a problem such as this?

Behind your vertical gauges in the center/middle of your dash are some cables that will sometimes rub onto exposed screws. You can guess what will happen if the insulation on a wire rubs off, allowing a wire to touch a grounded screw.

Also, some aftermarket alarm companies will tie the car alarm into the dash light circuit, and their installations aren't always meant to last, if you know what I mean.

The source of all of my dash light, fuse blowing woes were from the luggage area light located on the Drivers side of the luggage area. It seems the tube light fell out and the vibration caused the contacts to somehow entangle themselves..... Thus causing the blown fuses.
Of course this was after following every light and wire under the dash, steering collum, and such. Darn light was not even on the wiring diagrams... as best as I could tell.
