Do a search here with 348 console removal as the search keywords. Also, there are a few seller of the shields on Ferrariads.com at the top of the page. These cars never came with them from the factory, so you should place them based on the Challenge car location. There is another thread by Dasadrew that addresses this. Good luck!

Here are a couple of step-by-step write ups to remove the dash pod as well as your center console (just 2 Phillips screws for your dash pod and just 4 screws to remove for your center console): http://webpages.charter.net/aircover/348/1994Ferrari348Spider.html#Console

Just a thought, but consider replacing your dash bulbs with newer LEDs. The LEDs don't let current flow in reverse (unlike the stock bulbs), which will prevent many common Ferrari electrical problems. The LEDs also use less current, making for better life for your alternator.

    Hello Liebkid

    You are a lucky guy...

I think that a lot of guys here are looking forward to see a pic of your great 348 next to the 360 and Enzo.

And bring some of that sunshine over here..... :-(

I am in awe of some of the things I read/see on this website.

Where else will you get a first-hand report from someone that owns an Enzo - an Auburn - and a 348?

I usually make a pretty good Troll (sarcastic views of the world), but I am suddenly speech-struck.

Congratulations, sir.....you have very good taste.

Hi, will do. Currently I do have the 360 in San Diego at Ferrari/Maserati Service for a complete F1 tranny swap under warranty (there are 2 2004's more there with the same issue, one under 2000K miles!... hmmm I wonder), so I can do Enzo + 348 + Auburn first, and then other shots with the 360 also. Give me a few days. I am driving early tomorrow morning back to San Diego on my 348 to get some local help with a couple of minor issues till middle week and to paint the black spoilers portions of the car matching the car's body. After that I'll be back home and will take pics to post here inside and outside the house with all the cars :)

...on a side note, has anyone also heard of both F1 tranny and limited slip differential issues on the F430s? I have been getting info that the number of claims under warranty is looking really nasty...

One F-Chatter reported that his F430 relay solenoid for the F1 system went bad ($44 part, covered under warranty, of course): http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=135418675#post135418675

A couple of F430 owners have reported that the F430's F1 system doesn't always "know" to fully release the clutch/shift into Neutral when the car is idling at a stop.

One car magazine reported a problem with the power top.

That's it. That's all of the criticism of the *car* that I've heard (now ordering one, that's a different story).

Ferrari finally went back to the timing chain rather than a cam belt for the F430, so it should be a very reliable car...

...especially since Ferrari has managed to improve the F1 with each version.
