    My car was originally supplied to Simon Connelly, who supplied his own hides to the factory for the interior, seast roof front of dash etc. I think he may have specified this Alcantara dashboard at the same time, but I don’t have proof of that. The second owner didn’t have it done, so if not from new it was done in his first 2 years of ownership.

    Questions are, does anyone else know of another 348 with an Alcantara dash? And did it become an option on the 355?

    My 91 348tb has a complete dash and door card tops finished in that material. I love it. It does not get hot as leather in the sun, its easy to clean, and no sun glare when your driving.

    I have an extensive library of info on the 348 and 355 and I do not see anything that relates to the factory offering that material as an option on either car. Not saying that if you had some pull with factory that it couldn't have been done but it doesn't show in any factory info that I have. You could get matching colored leather on the dash thru special order on the 355 but I don't see anything related to alcantara. Regards, Vern

    Dave, Did you have your dash recovered? That isn't factory is it?

    Well, its a bit difficult right now as its on my rack 50 percent dissmantled and only 49 percent to go. See, winters in Wisconsin are long....and I have a long list of mods. I can take a few better pics of the interior if thats what you want to see.
