Any help is appreciated. I took my 1994 348 Spider out with a friend this weekend. When we returned and exited the car, the passenger door would not close, almost like the latch was still in the closed position. I used the unlock button and managed to get the door closed, however, it now will not open at all. I do not think there is a cable issue, as I can still feel tension when I use the indoor release handle, but the door will not open. Also, when I now try to unlock the doors, either with the key or button, the locks cycle unlock, and then immediately lock again. When I manually pull the driver's door lock up and open the driver's side door, the door opens fine, but then the locks just keep cycling up and down until I close the driver's side door, and then they go into the locked position and quit cycling.

    Any help is appreciated!

Strange. Normally if there is a latch issue, the doors will refuse to lock. When the doorlock actuator can't extend to lock (due to mechanical issues with the latch (or electrical or mechanical issues with the actuator itself), the system senses that the actuator isn't moving to the correct position and reverses the command. You seem to have the opposite. Note that the actuator has an internal switch for sensing extended/not-extended.

Is there any way you can open the passenger door? e.g. try removing the fuse for the doorlock ECU (fuse 4 in the footwell) to override the electrics and use the key to unlock the door. At least that way you might be able to pull off the door card (and/or the door scoop) and inspect the lock assembly and linkages. Being able to open the door will also allow you to inspect the wiring at the door pillar as shown in Ferrarium's weblink.

Unfortunately I am not able to open the passenger side door. I will try again this evening. The passenger door refused to close once before, but after I cycled the door locks, it closed with no issue. This is the first time the whole lock continuously cycling lock/unlock has happened. i will try a few other things to get it open this evening. Thanks for the input though.

What if you disconnected the battery to stop the actuators working then tried it with the key?
