I bought my 348 eight years ago, and have never liked the door speakers. I have cheap Kenwood speakers fitted which look awful, so I am going to change them. The question I have is that every 348 image I look at does not show a speaker grille (my carpet has been cut out), so do 348's come with speakers in the doors, but the carpet covering them?
Mine came with carpet covering the speakers no additional speaker covers. Mine is a 95 spider if that make any difference.
Just like my 89, the speakers are behind a carpeted panel. The material is lightweight and probably audio-transparent.
