Any tips on figuring out why my 92 348 is suffering minor electrical problems. Sometimes the passenger power window works, sometimes not. Also, the fuel access button works sometimes and other times does not, any ideas??

    Welcome to Ferrari Chat, "Kidder"!

The problem with the power window is probably due to broken wires or bad connections at the multi-pin junctions in the door jambs. Lots of threads here about how to diagnose and repair these. For a start, open the doors and find the wiring bundles (the black accordian tubes). You can twist the connectors and pull them apart, revealing the pins. Are they yucky looking? You can also pull the rubber boot back from the twist connector, revealing the back of the pins, where the wires attach. Look for broken wires. It looks like this picture.

On the fuel door, it's usually just the electrical solenoid sticking. Try a shot of WD40 on it and work it in and out a few times. You always have the cable backup in the engine compartment if the switch won't release it.

Peel back the rubber boot covering the wiring at the drivers side door jamb (by the screw on connector). Once you peel it back you will discover broke wiring. Correct that & problem solved.
    Good Luck,
    Chris

Yup these guys are on the right track. Ferrari does great wiring as show here. This is the other side of that plug. As you can see it is an easy fix.

Speaking of swapping war stories, I'm going to be out in California mid-August catching Pebble and then sailing from Ventura down to a little resort on the coast of Mexico...probably passing right by you, FBB, Plugzit and Lord knows who else on the way.

It'd be cool to meet a few of you along the way if your schedules permit.

Will I have time? First Pebble and then two weeks of sailing/fishing and then I've got to get back to a VC startup.
