348 Engine as the basis for F1 training!

    Did anyone watch "Inside Formula One" this week? (You know, it's that Allianz/Williams TV program that is sort of designed for kids?) Well, they had a segment on what it takes to become an F1 mechanic... and when they showed the Ferrari school, there were a gaggle of hopeful F1 techs surrounding a 348 engine, working on it and watching some video screens of dyno data.

    Yeah, let's face it... the 348 was the test mule for the Enzo, the 348 serves as the pace car for GP2, and now, it appears an old 348 engine is/was used for training the next generation of F1 techs for the Scuderia.

    I caught the tail end of the show where Lauda crashed and burned into the wall.

    The 348 IS the test bed for the Scuderia
