You wont be doing anything with the timing chains from there though.......

All my point was, is something like a 430 is going to be a nightmare for the DIY'er when the time comes, I don't care either way as I'll never own one.....

    QUICK UPDATE:
My car has been in the shop now for 158 days with no "start date" despite purchasing a newly rebuilt engine replacement back in March... feeling disrespected.

That's crazy. 348 motor swap would take a weekend as DIY pace. It is so easy.

You need to hire a flatbed, get the car and the engine, send it non-op on a transport out west to one of the Stooges. The sight of the flatbed showing up on the front door of the shop sometimes get them to move their ass

367 days after the major, 158 days at the shop....OP does a lot of very meticulous counting of days but can't post a couple pics of the damage. This whole thing has been weird since the beginning.

I think he's demoralized and exhausted posting pics I don't think is his priority anymore.

Demoralized is an understatement. Driving to the shop just to take a snapshot of damaged valves for this "chat" is a waste of time. Thanks for your understanding Targatime and Ferrarium. The shop is in high demand and distracted due to the racing season. The technician is meticulous and the work will be first class. Sadly, I won't be able to drive the car till November 1st as I'm scheduled for OHS on 9/1.... Assuming the car is ready by then. Thankfully I have my Aston Martin V8 Vantage S to drive.

I'm not clear on how posting pics of the damage to the forum (to satiate the curious) will improve his situation.

Actually we asked him to post them. As far as where, its in the post, here is a copy from the actual posts with author and dates in order of activity regarding pictures.

axarunner - Mar 14, 2021 - I’ll be visiting my car on Tuesday to see the extent of the damage and to decide on a course of action.

A348W - Mar 20, 2021 - ..... Be interested to see the pictures and hope you get a logical and not horrendous $ repair.

krazykarguy - Mar 26, 2021 - Do you have any pictures yet?

axarunner - Apr 1, 2021 - Regarding photographs of the damage... I'll have them but I doubt I'll have them until the much later this month... I will definitely post them.

At this point he has not made it back to the shop as the shop has not started work to get said pictures. Can't believe I am actually bothering to do this. I mean it is actually in the thread. ;)

Axa.. is your 348 black with lic plate bearing the model no? If so, I actually have a pic of your car on the lift as it was in the background. My F355 had a major service in Feb this year and I heard about what happened to you after you collected the car. In fact your news made me decide to opt for post-service delivery instead of me driving off myself. It was still cold and also had concern some salt was still around.

I had a wonderful experience with Classic Coach, service advisor and tech while my car was in their shop for several weeks. They were completely transparent and fair, treating my car like their own. Sorry about your predicament though most of us have our painful stories if we're honest with ourselves.

Please don't include me in your post, as I NEVER asked him to, I only inquired AFTER he said he was going to post pictures.

I never said you asked him. You did not. I'm not attacking you.

I was responding to your statement about "We didn't ask him to post the pictures, he said he would, '. That is inaccurate. Record shows we infact asked. He said he would in response yes, but we asked him to.
