    .......you won't believe the difference....

I am really very happy with this upgrade as bought at Paul Hill in the UK.
The stuff arrived also very quick, I was also amazed about that.
I bought last year some spacers for my Boxster S as well but these are much lighter also !
I was a little bit afraid for the 25mm at the rear because I thought they might become wider as the bodywork is. That is not the fact !
I will post a few pics when I am at home, in 5 hours.
The looks definitely improved also, but was not 1st priority.

Ok, I did a few runs up to 140mph yesterday evening.
The really shaky tail of the car seems completely gone. Like I did a huge suspension upgrade!! Amazing that Ferrari didn't change this in 1990 right away themselves after several sales... No, they waited till the 1994 Spider. Now with 5 cm added to the rear axle I have the same track.

I took 2 exits really fast and the roadholding is really much better.

I have still a bit wobbling in the wheels at speed, but I guess they need a new balance job.

When you haven't done this to your car yet > do it !
My best spent money to a car yet.

    (pics later)

Thanks for the update. Sounds like you are really enjoying the new car now. I have been on the fence for a while about this upgrade, but I would like a bit more stability at higher speeds. Is there any problem with different loads on the wheel bearings due to the longer (effective) axle length? What is the cost? Any info would be helpful. 348 owners rule!

I agree about the service from Paul. First class.

As I understand it Bill, Ferrari increased the track on the spider by simply increasing the offset on the wheels - exactly as the spacers do. So the bearing loads have been pretty well tested by now.

Thanks. I was thinking that with the few number of miles put on a typical Ferrari it would probably be many years of use before any noticable wear problem would turn up on the bearings anyway.

What type fixing did you end up getting? The type 1 or the type 2. Anyone have recommendation on either of these?

For the front typ 1 (15mm) and the rear typ 2 (25mm) as the typ one just goes to 20mm.
