I swear, I'm going to stop selling floor mats eventually. These were ordered weeks ago, and one of the customers (ahem, John L.) has already sold his car!! A 328 buyer did the same thing before his mats arrived; uggg

    Anyway, I have three sets in stock -- black/tan, tan/black, tan/red.

If you're interested, shoot me a PM. First come first serve. $195/ea + shipping.

Daniel; I'm putting my house on the market, and I'm wondering if you could order enough floor mats for me to re-carpet my living room with them? By the way, if the house sells this week, I won't be needing them.

    Funny. Real funny, gentlemen.

You're not the ones with a pile of tufted velour mats sitting on your shelf!!

    Daniel,

I'll take one of those sets from you. I can't decide on the tan/red or tan/black... Can you recommend the most popular? (Red 348TS w/tan)

I have them both. FWIW, I think tan/black is more common. Drop me an email: daniel-dot-pass at ricambiamerica-dot-com or send me a PM through Ferrarichat.

    Best,
    Daniel

Let's help Daniel move those floor mats! Just in time for Halloween, imagine the fun your kids will have dressed up as "Alladin", flying through the air on their own Ferrari Magic Carpets! Happy Landings!

See? This is exactly the crap that keeps me in the floor mat business!! I've already had a few PM's, and it seems like another order is brewing. If you're seriously -- and I mean damn seriously not going to sell your car, I'll order you a set. PM me. The order would go into my supplier early next week, and we'd probably have them before Xmas/Hanukkah.

(Yes, its's 4:00am. Guess why I'm awake? Bingo! The next great F1 world champion needed some milk)

Actually.. I just sold the tan/black ones that I'd bought for your customer S. Windmueller. :( I've got black/red (which doesn't match your car). If you're getting ready to sell, you're in luck! I'll place another order on Monday. Whatcha want?

I'm not parting with my car (willfully). at $195, if you order a set, I'll be game as long as they have the horsie and the logo on them.

I am a new owner and new comer to the board, so my intentions of this post are not meant to be disrespectful to anyone. I ask this question with the most genuine intentions.

I hate the floor mats that came in my 348 Spider. They are clean as brand new, but they are just plain boring, in my opinion. I did a search on Ebay and came up with some nice looking floormats, similar to these and they run $50-$80 plus shipping.

I know the saying you get what you pay for, and I believe it. I just need to learn what sets these mats apart.

    John,

I think there are a number of things which set these mats apart. They are similar to the original Lloyd Ferrari mats which are no longer being produced by that company. I have posted pictures of my original, 1978 Lloyd mat and Ricambi/Jack Russell Racing's mats to illustrate this.

The original Lloyd logo mats were the original dealer-supplied floor mats from 1978 until just a few years ago. Although not an OEM Ferrari mat (Ferrari only carpets their cars and do not supply floor mats), the Lloyd Ferrari logo and script mats are still highly desirable today and Jack Russell Racing's mats come pretty close.

They also appear to be better made than the Lloyd mats I have. When the Ferrari dealerships were closing out their stocks of Lloyd mats about three years ago, I remember them going for $130 a set. This was when Lloyd Mats announced they had discontinued Ferrari mats. The dealerships sold out their stocks quite quickly.

I did the same eBay search and couldn't find any Ferrari logo mats in the price range you stated. There were some plain mats in that price range. There were also some logo mats in the price range comparable to Jack Russell Racing's mats but they did not have this most recognizable combination of the cavallino and Ferrari script.

Finally, even Keith Collins, who for years made a high-end mat with the Ferrari cavallino, today makes a mat with what's just a pale shadow of the cavallino.

Considering all of the above, I personally feel that the mats being offered are certainly worth the rather conservative price quote by Jack Russell Racing.

I'm sure the seller will elaborate a bit more on this matter.

Plus, it appears the JRR mats are the very fine carpet that is like a good flat top haircut, instead of the usual woven mat that traps all the little leaves that usually get in the carpet (like in a Toyota floor mat). High end carpets to match a high end car. :)

Why are you not getting paid at the time the order is placed? If the buyer sells the car before the mats arrive, it is their issue to sell the mats on eBay at a loss isn't it?

Nope. That's one of the things I do at Ricambi. Nobody pays for anything until their product actually LEAVES my facility, even if it's a special order from Timbuktu. Normally, it's no big deal -- and I think it's a nice "customer service" touch. Occasionally, I get screwed: once I ended up with a whole 348 door grill ($2000) that the customer balked on! For the most part, its the cost of doing business and treating people the way I'd want to be treated myself.

I'm not sure they rival the ol' Keith Collins mats when his horse actually looked correct. These are foam backed velours.

As a totally anal-retentive car detailer myself, I prefer these mats for several reasons: the foam backing grips the whole mat. They simply don't slide around at all. The carpet is a tighter weave so dirt floats on top instead of getting ground into the base. The horse is cut into the mat as a separate item -- it allows much greater detail in the tail and mane, giving a richer look.

The passenger side on my 348 mats rides all the way up the footwell -- thus protecting the kickplate from dirt and stuff. (It's more inconvenient when you need to get to the fuses, but gives a nicer overall look, in my opinion). These mats are quite light. Two mats plus the shipping box only weighs about 6 pounds.

One of our Florida Fchatters has requested a slightly different variation of the mats for his Testarossa, and I'm working with my supplier to see if we can get them woven. When they arrive, I think I'll have a more traditional woven offering to match these.

Anyway, if you think they blow goats, send 'em back. As long as you didn't grind a bunch of dirt and dog hair into them, I'll give you all your money back.

At Concourso, Keith was offering the correct cavallino style mats again...

Daniel, the mats you are offering look great and a very reasonably priced! You seem to be doing great, I am glad all is well with you....
