Sorry guys i don't have time to do a search for this as i have a ferry booked tomorrow morning to France then i have a 1,200 mile drive to Italy! I have just checked the car over and it appears to have a little fluid dripping from the differential area, not a lot just some droplets. i had this before after a clutch change, the garage repaired it (£500) and said it was a leaking seal from the clutch due to under use.I think it maybe the same again (I have been using the car though). Could someone tell me if this is going to be alright to drive , i can fix it when i arrive in Italy but i must leave tomorrow with the car. Also can i top up the fluid while i'm on route , if so where is the top up resivour Thanks guys.

Steve, it should be fine for the trip, a little leak goes a long way, the drops are passed with every clutch shift, so on the road at 160kph the loss is minimal. However, figure that the gearbox shaft seals may be bad, so replace the clutch sels, input shaft seals and consider that the flywheel may also be contaminated and require a repack of the grease.

wave hello to France for me on the way through.

    Thanks Brian,
the annoying thing is that i had the belts/clutch/bearing/master cylinder/seals done in July '04, then the seals done again in Feb'05 as I had the drip problem, the guys that carry out my work said it was because it had been standing (2 months) and the seals had dried out, so this time I had run the car periodicly so it didn't happen again, I have just completed a run of 400 miles earlier in the week and it's started again, I have bought some dot 4 to take with me !! Fingers crossed.......
