I recently bought a 348 (love it!) but it is missing the right side small black cover that goes over the screws to remove the fog light (part #144817). Ron Tonkin Ferrari can't seem to find one, I've checked out the couple Ferrari parts companies I know of....no luck. Anybody out there have one to sell or know where I might find one. Thanks.

What you seek is the 348 owners Holy Grail!

Honestly, it's easier to find Big Foot, The Loch Ness Monster, Atlantis and Jimmy Hoffa than this part!

If ever a part was crying out to be reproduced, the lower light cover is it!

Just curious....why is this part so hard to find? Do they just fall off? I also have a 308 and
in all the years I've had it I've never had a real problem finding a part.

Here's a link to their store.

    http://stores.ebay.com/sautoparts/

I've bought a few things from them and they've been good.

Manda....yep, went right there. Spyder 97, I checked out the website, they didn't have one but it's a great site to keep for future parts. Thanks.

Oh it's weirder than that! - It's pretty much always the right hand side cover that goes missing (from the lower light cluster above the air-con intake).

Need a left hand cover? - No worries, freely available!
Need a right hand cover? - Good luck finding one!

Having looked at My one remaining cover (the left hand cover naturally! ), I struggle to believe that they can just fall off (in fact, having looked at getting My left hand cover off, it looks to be a bit of a bugger to remove!).

I have even pondered buying a left hand cover to use, to see if someone could make a mirror image version on a 3D printer for the right hand side (TBH, I then forgot all about it as the missing cover isn't really that noticeable being that low down on the car).

My right one is the "loose" one. When I'm washing the car I can feel it deflect. The left one not much movement if any at all. I've be paranoid about losing one as I figured they would be very hard to replace. I may add an adhesive to mine now that I know that is the case.

I just though it was odd that Ron replied, based on my link, "Slava81 on Ebay I only get a site selling hockey cards."

Whereas the same link from you worked correctly. ;)

The internet is a funny place sometimes.

The right hand cover (on the air-con air intake side) is basically impossible to find (and always the one that goes missing!).

The left hand covers are easy to find (Eurospares have the left hand cover in stock funnily enough!)

I'd almost guarantee they don't have them in stock! ;)

I'd like to see what the back looks like-- but not bad enough to pry my left one out of there.

I've got a pair in my supply that I'll loan for printing. Not for sale.

Found one!!! Someone gave me "All Ferrari Parts" website, and they had one in stock...new old stock. A bit costly, but I bought it. Thanks for all the help on this.

So essentially the same principle as a press stud then - I had been wondering!

So the next query is: Why is always the right hand side cover (above the air-con intake) that goes missing?

Could it be related to the air-con system being on that side? (From small vibrations from the fan for example?)

I will have both sides available in the next 2-3 weeks. I’m just validating that the attachment socket is much more reliable than stock. If interested, please let me know. Pricing will be based upon interest.
the one on the right is the prototype.

When I took my fog light out I had to to remove the cover and when I eventually put it back the fit wasn't as good. an didn't want to go back on.

Had to loosen off the bracket that this cover goes onto and wiggle the fog light around and retighten before it would go back on. I wonder if people are not pushing them back on properly??

BTW I would be interested in te copies dependant on price
