For those of you running 360 wheels on a 348 did you machine the back of the wheels to raise the offset?

I agree. I’ve got the traditional 360 wheels on my 348ss and I didn’t alter them at all. The rears look really really close, like they’re bound to rub the quarters, but they don’t..... believe me, I was super observant when I first installed them, so I inspected them constantly. I think the extra width they give to the rear track looks fantastic on the car. I know it’s only an opinion, but i was never all that fond of the stock 348 wheel style, for me, the 360 wheels really look great on the car!

360 modulars on the 348 look way better then the standard starfish.

The PO of mine had them machined. Too much imho so I've added 11mm spacers up front and 20mm spacers in the rear.

Now the stance is essentially the same as the OEM 348.

I have a before photo but not a similiar after. I'll grab it tomorrow.

I'd say don't machine them. Unless you've really lowered the stance... they shouldn't rub at all.

I've seen a few pictures of F430 wheels on a 348 lately and I really dig the look. I think the parallel double 5 spokes really match the strakes of the car. That being said, everyone says they will not fit and you have to machine them. The wheels have the same offset as the standard 360 wheels so am I missing something? They are 19" instead of 18" but I figure you would just run a lower profile tire. I am worried the brakes will look tiny under 19's, but that can be mended with a big brake kit ;)

I have a set of 355 wheels I am going to run. If I can sell the wheels on the car I will go for a set of the 430 wheels.

Ok cool, gotcha. 355 wheels look good but I think they look better without the black two tone on early cars.

I want to add new wheels ASAP but want something different than the 360 starfishes. They look good, but gotta snowflake my car a bit hahaha

I had 17mm machined off the rear starfish. They sit out further than standard 348 wheels and around the same amount as the later wider version of the stock wheels. 17mm machined off allowed me to use the 35mm wheel bolts from a 308 since the stock for the 360 are 52mm (if I remember correctly).
