Can anyone tell me whether the front fender on a 348 is just bolted on or are there some welded or brazed areas?

Need to sort out a dent problem and was just wondering whether it's worth removing the fender to be able to better support the inner surface during panel beating.

    Thanks.

Thanx. Feared it might be. I guess if I remove the wheel arch liners then I can get a dolly up into the inner fender surface.

Just removed both of mine and they are not welded at all, bolted on and there is some seam sealer on where the door post is.

    Hope this helps

That's exactly my dilemma - I've tried to ease away the door post and lower edge and it seems stuck. I just can't work out whether it's a weld or body sealer and how hard to pull to find out!

    Mine's a '94 BTW.

have you removed the sill covers ??? there is a 6mm 10mm head bolt holding it on, I used a sharp knife to cut the sealer and it came away. There are 2-3 ? bolts on ther lower front edge.
