    On my 92 348tb I have a black aluminum trim piece around the opening for my front grill. I have only seen one other 348 with this and was wondering when ferrari started putting these on. I kinda think it looks better without it.

    50 looks, and no replies ... I guess no one knows the answer, John. I understand what you are describing, but I don't think I have ever seen one. I know my '91 TS doesn't have it. I did have a license plate holder on my grill - a nice aluminum piece. But i drilled out the rivits and replaced it with a cavalino. Mo betta.

    John, to my knowledge, they changed the grille on the 348 in 1992, with the intro of the SS models.
    I'm not a fan of the later grille... it looks too big with the outter trim, and they added many more slats to it... but it did include the Cavallino.

    Steve, I agree completely about it's proportions. Fortunately for me I don't have the one with the extre slats, just the outer ring. I'm gonna take the ring off and store it for the next owner.
    Are you going to come down in November for Concorso Arizona? I heard there was a small group of Ferrari and Lambo guys making the trek. I know the FCA guys are finalizing some artwork for the ads and will probably post some info in the Az/Nv. section shortly.
