348 GAS CAP CONSOLE BUTTON?

    My gas cap release button on the console won't seat properly into the socket, it just bobbles around in the slot. Is there a trick to this? I also bought a new button from Ricambi to no avail.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    I assume you've had it out to replace it. Does the button move freely when it's removed from the faceplate? There has to be something in the way, or it's not seated properly.

    i believe you can buy the little clips that hold the buttons in place. when i bought my 348 ALL the buttons where siliconed in, a pretty shi^ty remody, but when i took her to the trim shop thats what was needed. the clips are pretty cheap.

    I must need the clips then.

    Anyone know where to get them?
