The last time I gassed up the Spider (weeks ago) I managed to leave the station without putting the cas cap back on. I closed the fuel door without noticing! I was just slightly distracted, what with 3 guys asking me a bunch of questions while I was pumping the gas. I remember carefully removing the nozzle so I wouldn't drip gas - which I didn't. Of course that led to a discussion of nozzle removal techniques! After that I must have just closed the fuel door and left, with the cap sitting next to the pump. Yes I know its a lame excuse but I'd like to think I'm not getting Alzeheimers or something.
I went back to the gas station but they don't have the cap.
Since it's Sunday, I can't call the dealer to see if they can get a cap. Does anyone know if gas caps are still available? If not, does anyone have one that is in great shape to fit a '94 348 Spider?

    Thank you,
    Kirk

The auction ends tonight and I can't call the dealer until tomorrow. As they say, timing is everything. What is the chance that the dealer would be able to get one - and for less $?
    Decisions, decisions!

Thank you for the info Jurgen.

Now that I know that Ricambi has one, I can make some calls tomorrow. I will not have to worry that I will be stuck if I don't buy the one that is ending on eBay tonight...

    Thank you for the help!

Ebay "deals" can sometimes be less than a bargain!

I always check with the Ricambi site first. You will get great service and no bull about the prices like you might with Ebay. Plus the Aluminum cap is better looking than stock.

I might also add for reference when the gas cap is difficult to remove (from the internal pressure I assume), pressing down on the gas cap while turning it makes it much easier.
