I got one these brilliant little inventions from Bosshog8 and it works perfectly. So simple and so smart, I will never have to replace the stupid little glove box strut again. Thank you Demetrius! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Interesting. I remember when I bought my 348TB back in 1996. I looked at about 8 different cars before choosing and I noticed that NONE of the glove-compartments would stay open (they all just flopped back down so it was difficult to get anything out of it while driving with one hand - you had to snake your hand in and keep the lid up with your wrist in the process. Finally I ordered a new one which I recently fitted because I just wanted to - at least once - see one that worked. (Ordered together with some engine bay ones which also need replacing every few years - although one gets used to holding the engine cover up with one's head when checking the oil level, etc.). I was a little disappointed that the new one, although quite stiff, didn't work at all - the lid just flopped down as usual. But it may be that I put it in upside down (considering some specific advice here) so will flip it around when I get the chance (the 348 is at the garage for the big service at the moment otherwise would have tried it immediately). Maybe I will yet live to see a working lid after all ?!!? Regards Mark
