    Dont know the car.

    Price? Sure I would pull the trigger at that price. I'm a car keeper not seller.

    Seems scammy. #1, under normal rules the car isn't eligible for import to the US yet--although since it's special I could see it being approved for S&D.
    Phone number is 503, which is Portland, Oregon--hardly "desert".

    And "ABC Autofinder"? Come on.

    They are ROW only so would not have been legal 6-8 years ago unless a grey market car.

    I don't remember them ever going for this kind of money but then again I follow the F355 way more than the 348 series.

    I've been told the car was held in some museum collections. I don't think its the same one you are referring to. I believe its already sold.

    I love these cars. My only complaints about the 348 are the stock wheels and the cable-actuated shifter. This GTC corrected both of those issues, without me even asking!

    From the info, and pics on the Symbolic site it appears to be a legit Competizione. The picture of the odometer seems to indicate that it "only" has 9275 kilometers on the clock. I don't know how true that is, as it is ridiculously easy to disconnect the speedometer sender. The pictures show the correct H block engine, which has the higher compression ratio 10.8/1, and the taller plenum with the larger compensation valve. The other thing that makes the Competizione THE 348 to have is all the weight reduction. Light weight front and rear bumper, light weight hood, and light weight doors. If my memory serves me correct they are carbon kevlar (some one correct me if I'm wrong).

    The Vin also seems to check out, ZFFUA35B00097357 at first.

    ZFF = Italy Ferrari
    U = 348 GTB/S, 348 Spider F119H Euro version
    A = 3-point inertia belts with auto retractors for front
    35 = 348 tb, 348 GTB, 348 tb Serie Speciale
    B = Left-Hand Drive, Europe
    0 = All other markets

    HOWEVER......there should be 17 total digits, and both sites only shows 16 digits for the vin? Maybe a typo? The picture of the engine bay doesn't give a clear enough view if the vin stamped on the chassis, nor are there any other pics of the vin. So I would further investigate that.

    Anyway if it is legit, that the correct vin is on the car, I would get a compression test and leak down of the engine. An engine with that "low" of milage should have some pretty outstanding compression/leak down numbers. Maybe even shove an scope down the spark plug hole to have a look in each of the cylinders.

    All in all worth the price if indeed the genuine article, and everything checks out.

    That's my opinion anyway.

    Hmmm, maybe we should work on a winter project. :D

    Tim, did you ever get the weights of the standard bumpers?

    You are missing a 0. As with all ROW cars from that era, it should be 0000, so there must have been a typo.

    Price of €179,000 is shown in Euros making this a $211,400 investment.
    Shame it was ordered without the red Nomex F40 style seats.
    Still, if it is in the USA and I highly doubt it is, this GTC would be a very good investment.

    What add are you reading? The first line says it’s located in the US and a couple lines later it says 179,000 USD. Clearly stated.
    So either it’s in the states or it’s a complete scam listing, but it says inspections are welcome so it’s hard to believe it’s not a real add.

    The 0 is missing because it is not listed on either of the websites listing the car for sale. I simple copy and pasted what they had listed.

    Ferrari 348 GT Competizione Background:
    9,275 Kilometers / 5,763 Miles
    In 1993 Ferrari put their 348 TB on an intensive weight reduction program while also improving performance and handling by refining and reengineering the suspension, brakes, engine and gearbox. This new, ultra-limited production model was given the name 348 GT Competizione.
    This new competition oriented Ferrari weighed in at just 1,180kgs. This was an incredible near 200kgs (440lbs) off the weight of the regular production 348TB.
