Lovely car. Are there any owners of UK cars that could get in touch with me please (by email). I need to ask a couple of questions/advice about the GTC. Thanks, al
Agreed, for Condition 2 cars (per Hagerty definition). Condition 1, almost $200k. Condition 3, just under $100k.
On what are you basing these values? I think it would be very difficult to find one for sale for these numbers. The last couple to come up for sale have been for significantly more than this.
There aren't enough of them to begin with, so values are nearly impossible to nail down. In addition, there are no "comps" (to use a realtor's term) even amongst themselves. When you say significantly more, what numbers have you seen? This one was listed 180£, but it's RHD so, premium priced. https://www.classicinsider.com/single-post/Ferrari348GTC Of course, significant examples will most certainly carry significant prices (e.g. over $200k). Also, to me, the 11 Michelotto cars are a separate category, as are the two 348 GT/C LMs. This one sold for €437.000 https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/ff17/auction/lots/r108-1994-ferrari-348-gtc-lm
This "beater" sold last year in Japan for about $70k U.S. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/348-gt-competizione-barn-find.540114/ Any idea what would it cost to have it restored to concours? $100k - $150K? Maybe more if you sent it back to Ferrari?
I need one of those LHD 348, those race cars are just a beast to drive compared to the 355, I love it
This 1994 Michelotto sold for $82,500 at RM Auction - Amelia Island 2010. Anyone know the VIN? The 348 was still considered "unwanted" at the time. https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/am10/auction/lots/r227-1994-ferrari-348-gt-michelotto-competizione Image Unavailable, Please Login
No I don't run it, I just keep an eye on it from time to time. I own number 42, one of the eight UK RHD versions.
Yes, comps are difficult. There was one for sale earlier in the year for about $330k plus the RHD car you mentioned with 50k miles. These cars really trade in Euros since they are a RoW car. My estimate from a 3 condition w some needs to a 1 condition concours car would be €150k-250k if you can find someone willing to part with one. The race cars would likely be about 1.5 times that or more depending on history / provenance.
Finally back up...not everything on there yet and needs further updating, but we are gettin there Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
#41 for sale in the UK....some 'alternative facts' in the write up but nevertheless, still a GTC... https://bellclassics.co.uk/sales/1995-ferrari-348-gt-competizione-rhd/
Note also no chassis plate (removed? or fell off?), and the old skool line stampings. Image Unavailable, Please Login
