I was going to post a question but now I have sorted the problem When replacing my discs on the 348 I found helicoil springs in the hub plate as I removed the caliper bolts. One of the helicoils made a complete mess of the thread in the hub plate. I didnt want to ream it out and use a bigger helicoil so I made a tubular collet and I tapped it with a metric 12 tap then inserted from the outside of the hub. To do this you have to use a 9/16 drill which also damages the dust ring so you need to replace this also. The installed tapped collet does a much better job than a helicoil but you should be careful not to overtighten - the book says 64 Nm torque but this is far too much so I plumped for abou 40 Nm Does anyone else have a similar experience ?
