I am trying to get the glass headlight assembly out that is dirty and foggy inside. My idea is to remove both medium/ high beam bulbs and see if I can somehow clean the glass inside. I have no clue if it is possible to actually clean it inside, but I want to take a look. However, the first issue I ran to is that I cannot get the assembly out. I have followed the instructions manual on how to remove the headlight, and the headlight was raised, the cover's four side screws removed and the assembly disconnected from 3 connecting points inside, but the assembly is just too big to come off. I tried every angle, position and trick but I cannot get it out. I already chipped a bit of the paint around it trying…

How does the thing come off? Obviously I am missing something…
    Thanks.

I had read that already but the "Wiggle the damn light assembly around for a good 15 minutes trying to get it out..." is precisely the problem I am having. I'd think there is a less violent and simple procedure to do this... I can wiggle the assembly for an hour but it will no come off this way. Its not by a little bit, its by at least 1/2 inch around the top and bottom.

OK, I go the out be removing the nut that holds the control arm coming off of the housing going to the headlight motor. This way I was able to lift the headlight housing all the way up and get the lights out. The next step is no luck... the are a couple cracks on the back of housing meaning I will need to get new headlights.

Anyone has any leads on where to get a pair of these new? I will most likely do a Xenon conversion on the low beam bulbs when I put the new glass in.

I am also in need to remove the bottom parking/blinking/fog lights assembly and try to get them also cleaned. The screws to get them out are protected by a little metal side cover that I don't know how to get out. Is a simple yank/pull off or is there a trick and special way to get these out?

    Thanks much! :)
