Just received a new headlight unit and need to check that it is the right side (I presume UK/US are the same, just the alignment that is different?)

As you look at the light, it has a circular lens. Does this go on the inside or outside edge? I'm pretty sure it goes on the inside, which makes it correct, but the box has LH Headlight hand written on it, which is not correct!

I cannot check until tonight, anyone got their car to hand to check for me please?

    Ta!

    Al -

I'm pretty sure the small circular part is the OUTSIDE portion of the car. Here's a pic of the right-hand (passenger) light:

Yep, if you order the drivers side from the U.S. it will be the LH headlamp.

I had to order a drivers side strake from a guy in the UK and we went round and around about which side was correct..."I need the left side"...'oh the passenger side'...'yeah, I mean NO...the left side, the driver side! for U.S."

Oh you're kidding me Aaron!! I had a 348 strake (brand new, OEM) that I ordered for a customer who ended up flaking on me. It cost a bloody fortune in restocking fees, and I was actually prepared to give it away at my cost. (sniffle, sniffle)

I wish I had known! I actually looked through Ricambi to see if you sold them but couldn't find them. The thing was not cheap! Mine had a crack in the corner....I still have the old one...I'm thinking about repairing it and selling it.

Al, you may also find that the beam direction is wrong no matter what side you get from the US (think about the redirection stickers you need when driving in mainland Europe)

I thought about that, but was reliably informed that they are adjusted from tghe inside... either way, yep, I do have the wrong one but never fear, the replacement will be on a courier tomorrow!

On another note, i think that it is quite disgusting that you cannot simply buy the glass covers for these lights when they do unscrew, I mean, how often do we break the internals of a light? Hardly ever. How often do we crack the glass? Pretty bloody frequently!

There has to be a gap in the market for someone to manufacture the glass lenses only.
