Both of my front headlights are out (low beam only, high beams work fine). I read through the manual about how to remove the headlight to get to the bulb so that I can replace it, but the description in the manual has a lot to be desired. I have pulled the frame out that surrounds the light to give me access to the adjustment screws. I have loosened the adjustment screws all the way and then snapped the headlight assembly off of its clips. My issue now is getting it out of the hole so I can replace the bulbs. In the manual, it looks liket the lower portion of the assembly dips down and then you can rotate it to make the top come out. The assembly is so big that I can't do that. I have also tried pulling the bottom out first, but then the top clips are held in by the top of the main housing. Any sugguestions so I don't piss any more people off by driving with my brights on all the time? Thanks in advance for getting me out of the dark!

I always drive with my hi-beams on and I never get hi-beam flashes from anyone. I too need to replace my headlights with better ones in my '77 308.
