    Hello people...

Did I bother you the last 2 weeks with my window matters, now I need some assistance again. The window matter is not solved yet, but I guess I need to rewire the right door as well (left one done) to continue with the saga.

My second big problem is the airco. Since I have the car the capacity was already quite low, but it didn't bother me that much as the weather was soso. Now it is hot here and I need to solve it.

When I start up the airco the thing blows but there's no cool air and after 2 minutes I get the E1 error. I have the service .pdf from the 348 and the E1 is supposed to be from the interior-sensor which is just above your left knee.

I tried to get the bodypart off just to get a look, but can't get it off !!!
See pic, part 15. Has one of you ever taken it off ?

Have to tell something about it.
In Holland we have quite some difficulties to insure these kinda cars.
There was an alarm in my car, but the "aprovement" of the alarm was due in oct '96. So I needed a new alarm, which you have to build in at a company who is able to pass you the special insurance certificate, so you can't build it in yourself. In my case I took my Audi dealer.
Have to say that I get the E1 code from that moment.
Of course they have no clue, bla bla..

Hope someone can help me out !
Thanks a lot for your kind attention regarding this matter....... ;-)

oh, "they all do that sir"! :D

Seriuosly, a lot do. Best advice I have had was to pull the whole climate control unit forward to get at the main connection (easy job apparently, undo the two screws in the ashtray compartment and with a bit of jiggling it slides forward).

Give the connection a good clean and replace! I haven't really felt the need to do mine yet as it only shows error... well, actually it hasn't done so for ages... but another guy i gave the same info to did it the next day and it worked for him.

Maybe not the answer but you never know?

    Thanks Burriana

    I might try that first.
I know that there were several problems with airco's everywhere as they were blowing hot air on full speed while the switch was off.

I found some pics of the matter you mention on the forum here.
    Something to do tomorrow ;-)

    Thanks !
