I just got my 348 back from the Ferrari dealership. I was conditioning the leather when I found that both ECU covers were not put back on and these wires just dangling. What are these wires for and should they be coupled? You have to love Ferrari dealer workmanship and quality control! Thanks in advance for the help!

Those wires are generally left unplugged from each other. By plugging them together, all you are doing is activating the push buttons for reading the codes stored in the Motronic units. They still should have reinstalled the covers, of course.

    Yup, Miltonian rocks!

Also, I'd like to say that *you* did well by taking and posting a picture of the problem. Made for quick and accurate diagnosis. Much better than just trying to describe what you saw.

It's cool to see more and more 348 owners taking pictures. Just no downside to that.
